World Harvest Missions Outreach is a non-profit organization founded by Miriam Frederick in 1977. Since then, God has added other full time laborers on the field along with many other part time volunteers. Much of our work is in medical missions that reach out to impoverished people who otherwise would receive little or no help.
World Harvest Missions is a relief and development organization working in remote villages of the world where little or no help is available. World Harvest Missions utilizes volunteer work teams as well as training nationals to assess villages using short and long range goals to improve these villages as much as possible in the areas of education, medical projects, water projects and economic development. This includes supplying agriculture tools, seeds and training, World Harvest serves the poor regardless of a person’s race, religion or background as a demonstration of God’s unconditional love for all people and our goal is to improve the lives of impoverished children, widows and families. World Harvest Missions has been helping the children of Haiti for 34 years in New Life Children’s Home.
This ministry’s first priority is with the spiritual needs followed by the physical needs of the people in the areas of health, education, and community development.
Bible Seminars
Seminars are held every three months. Church leaders and pastors attend these seminars that teach leadership qualities and Bible subjects. Training for pastors, some of whom can barely read themselves, is one of the greatest needs.
Medical Clinics
Our full time clinic in the interior and our many mobile clinics provide medical attention and medicine to hundreds of people who would otherwise have no access to any help. Our various health programs include the treatment of tuberculosis, medication dispensaries, malnutrition programs, and malaria treatment programs.
Love A Child
Through our Love A Child education program, children attend school on a regular basis which also includes food, uniforms, shoes, books, and medical check-ups.
New Life Children’s Home
This loving home is designed for long term care of many children who are recovering from either malnutrition or terrible sickness; most are orphaned or abandoned. Many of these children are unable to be placed back in their homes, so will stay until they are adults. At this time, we are caring for 115 children, 25 whom we rescued from the last hurricane, which requires a full time staff.
In this home we see to the children’s needs of medical care, housing, food, clothing, formal and spiritual education and lots of love. For our permanent children we also see to their need of professional schooling so they are prepared to be self-sufficient when they leave the home.
Community Development
Community development includes water projects, sanitation projects, drainage and irrigation projects, food for work programs, and helping families to begin small businesses or home improvement.
Visit with a Mission Team
One of the main outreaches of this ministry is getting people involved with hands on, short term, missionary work teams.
The only requirement is willing hands to help others. Through these work teams we hold clinics, drill wells, build water cisterns, build and put roofs on homes and churches, teach in Bible Seminars and Children’s Ministries, and so many other projects. The need is so great that any skill can be used to minister love and concern.

Haiti is probably the poorest country in the Western Hemisphere, while practically the neighbor to the richest country in the world. Haiti is also the voodoo capital of the world, was dedicated to Satan at its independence, and is now a growing New Age tourist mecca. The Haitian church, striving in the midst of this cauldron is crying out to their brothers and sisters in other parts of the world to stand with them as they fight a battle like no other.
Since 1977, World Harvest Missions Outreach has been reaching out to the people of Haiti in the West Indies. Our goal is to minister to the whole man in a way that fosters self-help and not dependency. Our approach is to minister to the Biblical description of the whole man – Spirit, Soul and Body.
We welcome your help in this vision, to help make a difference to a people who have so little and need Jesus so much. The little you do is like a candle shining in a dark room – it may be all the light your neighbors in Haiti will see of Jesus, but Jesus has fed multitudes with less before. He can use you as well.
